Construction Lab Property Management have a number of steps in place to ensure the right people are living in the right place. Along side all the usual reference and police checks we allow existing flatmates to ultimately decide who is the best person for their situation. Our philosophy is one of stable and happy long term residents being able to live the best lives they can.
Step 1/Book in to view the place (via the website advertisement). Here you'll meet us the property managers.
Step 2/Once the first viewing is complete you can fill out the application. Here you provide a work and former accommodation reference.
Step 3/From our applications we choose 5 which would be best suited for the flat (and in accordance with the flatmates preferences). These 5 will be given separate times to meet the flatmates. Once these meet & greets are complete the flatmates will choose the new person.
Step 4/This person will then undergo the police check. As stated the police check requires a $35 payment which is fully refunded upon successful "clearance". The amount is simply deducted from your first weeks rent. Having convictions (therefore failing the police check) means the $35 payment will not be refunded. If you have very minor convictions and are concerned about this please contact us prior.
Step 5/Once the police checks are complete you're free to move in. One weeks bond and two weeks rent are generally required (minus the $35 police check payment from your first weeks rent)
